Quick info
About Indian Brewery Taproom
On Mary Ann St in Birmingham, Indian Brewery Taproom is a brewery taproom that pours beers made on site alongside pizzas built on Indian naan-style bases. Toppings include Butter Chicken Pizza and Juicy Keema Pizza, so the food and the beer come from the same kitchen-and-brewhouse setup. Taps on the wall include Peacock Lager. The building is a huge warehouse-style space with communal-style seating in a social area, and a big screen shows live football and golf. Food can be pre-ordered for group and corporate events. The taproom is closed on Mondays and Thursdays.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the Indian-style pizzas, built on naan-style bases that several describe as a twist on Neapolitan, with the Butter Chicken Pizza, the Juicy Keema Pizza and a spicy special paneer pizza all named. Close behind are the Indian Fried Chicken, Cod Bites and Loaded Keema Fries, which one group found full of flavour and good for sharing, and dips that one reviewer says suit the crusts. Beer draws steady praise too, with the Peacock Lager and Birmingham Lager called light, crisp and easy drinking, plus a wide selection of drinks and cider. The big screen comes up repeatedly, used for a Spain and Argentina match, an England game and the golf, and the warehouse-style building gets credit for its communal seating and buzzing atmosphere. Complaints are small but specific: toilets described as not the cleanest by two reviewers, one reviewer who found a hair in a pint, and one who calls the pizza a bit pricy. A corporate group noted that pre-ordered food arrived on time even during a busy England match.

“Always amazing food and beer! I always try and visit the taproom for pizza whenever I'm visiting my wife's family. The pizza is authentic Neopolitan style with an Indian twist.”

“Came here to watch Spain vs. Argentina and was not disappointed. Great modern and interesting venue to settle into. Fantastic screen for watching the match. Had a selection of food - all of which was delicious. The Indian fried chicken was a favourite on the table. Drinks where varied, and excellent. I'll definitely be back, especially for watching sporting events.”

“Huge thank you to the team for making our corporate event run smoothly - they are incredible! The taproom was very busy as they were showing an England match, but we didn’t have any issues getting served at the bar and all of the food we had pre-ordered came out perfectly on time. The staff and security are all so lovely 😊”

“Really lovely venue with a big screen that’s great for watching sport and the pizzas are absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, I found a hair in my pint which was disappointing. The girl serving behind the bar kept flicking her wig/weave around, so it would be better if staff kept their hair tied back to maintain hygiene. The toilets weren’t the cleanest but overall, good food and atmosphere and would come again!”

“Ridiculously good food worth the journey from anywhere in Birmingham. A huge warehouse style venue, with good food, a wide selection of drinks, and a big screen ideal for sporting events.”
