Customer Review Summary
Diners praise lunches most, led by a ploughman's lunch with ham, cheese and granary bread, with a beef roast dinner and jam sponge close behind. A feta salad is also called delicious, and service friendly. Breakfast draws complaints of beans that were not hot and a hard egg, and a jacket potato had little tuna mayonnaise. One diner got bottled juice instead of fresh squeezed.

“Came in for a drink and a toastie, milkshake that costs £5 tasted stale and was warm didn’t seem fresh at all. Whilst sat outside a wasp landed on my food and wouldn’t get off, I asked staff for advice and she got a clipboard with the menu on and started hitting my sandwich with that? At this point my toastie is covered in bacteria and unable to be eaten (I’m also pregnant so it’s not safe to risk) staff were completely unprofessional about this and didn’t show any sympathy. The girl who hit my sandwich with the menu was instantly agitated and rude regarding this whole situation when we asked if they could potentially do us a fresh one and brought out her colleague who said “it’s just not my problem”. I completely understand these things can happen and it’s out of their control but where is the human decency? They said the only way they could give me a fresh one is if I paid double the price. Ridiculous and unkind considering they charge triple what it costs to even make these toasties and baguettes. If the outside area was cleaned properly maybe so many wasps and other insects wouldn’t be infesting it.”

“Nice visit here to this small independent cafe. Food and coffee was nice. Friendly sevice in a nice clean cafe.”

“4 of us had breakfast today. It was mostly fine, but very over-priced. My beans and mushrooms were not hot so the plate was reheated somehow - making the fried egg hard and inedible. My husband asked for no bacon and, rather than giving him something else in its place (an extra sausage maybe?), he just got the other items. My nephew’s breakfast burrito was tasty, but tiny. The vegetarian breakfast was the best. I was all set to give some constructive feedback when I paid, but I wasn’t even asked if everything had been okay, so I didn’t bother. We’d had breakfast at a nearby cafe (What a Brew) 2 days previously and that had been spot on - very hot, good amount and so much cheaper. Sorry Relish, you disappointed today and we won’t be back.”

“Snug little town centre eatery serving delicious-looking lunch options… I had a feta salad with a green smoothie, both of which were delicious but noticed others eating the baked potato with coronation chicken which looked good too. Swift service. Approximately £16. Recommended.”
