“I just had my haircut. The barber was absolutely grumpy and had no professional manners. He only seemed interested in the money. I sat on the chair, and he immediately started cutting with the machine. Normally, a barber prepares your hair properly and makes it even before cutting, but the Dursan barber just cuts however they want. It was an absolutely bad experience. I would not recommend this place, and I will go to another barber next time. I was late and decided to go to the nearest barber, but it turned out to be a horrible experience.”

“One of the best barber shop in basingstoke festival place. Being a female with short hair, I was unable to find Saloons suiting my requirement which was economical Finally I found one ( Istambul Dursun barber shop ) and I would like to thank Mr. Tapa for accomodating me without any gender disparity and the service was authentic and mind-blowing. Highly recommended shop in the town”

“Great barbers. They were a little unsure the first time I visited for a grade 1 as I am a woman and they were a little hesitant to shave my head but they did. Usually clipper it at home but decided to grow it during COVID to see how much grey there was. They did a great cut. Never have to wait too long as there are always plenty of men there cutting and they can chat and do their job so no time is wasted. Cash only due to card charges makes sense and keeps the prices down. They are great if you forget the cash and trust people to nip to the cashpoint without making a scene. I've used a couple of other barbers but this is the one for me.”

“Had a haircut from a place I used to be a regular until now. You know how it is you chat time goes by you pay give tip, get home. Then, bang. You realise after what was a great chat....leaves a a disaster in my haircut. Fringe trimmed ears, sadly no taper as asked hair still long on top of the head and crown. Unfinished haircut. Waste of money. Got to go back to another barbers now to get it corrected finished. What makes it worse is, I waited for this barber, I even watched how he cut hair compared to others there. Thinking great detail, when it was my turn the barber couldn't be bothered sat down for a min half way through too, chatted with others. The taper experience was bad on trimmed the bootm of the line not shave is up the back of the neck head area. I feel disappointed by this experience. Shame be using them for as long as they have been around, Nevermind New year new beginnings new barber!”

“Excellent service provided both booking and walk in service too. They took care of my four year old with extra needs - so much patience projected with a lovely discount for using the barber for the first time. Prices are reasonable and the cuts/fades are amazing. You can park on the side roads to access the shop, customer service is very good, respectful and fine refreshments are served. Totally recommended.”

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return for the fades, with one calling it the place for a skin fade and another pairing very good fades with a massage from an older barber by the window. Staff are described as friendly, professional and welcoming, and one woman says the barbers hesitated at first but gave her a great grade 1 cut. A parent praises the patience shown to a four year old with extra needs. The complaints are specific. One longtime regular left with an unfinished haircut: no taper as asked, hair still long on top and at the crown, and a barber who sat down midway to chat. Another found a grumpy barber who started with the clippers straight away without preparing the hair. Others mention an aquarium for children and Turkish tea on the house while waiting for a chair.
