About McDonald's
McDonald's is a fast food restaurant in Banbury, at Unit 18 Banbury Gateway, about 2 minutes off the M40 motorway. The brand has served customers since 1974, and this branch works from a menu that runs from McCafé coffee and breakfasts to the Quarter Pounder with Cheese and the McPlant. Orders can be placed at self-service kiosks or ahead through the MyMcDonald's app, which also lists current offers. Inside, the walls carry a diner-style design with booths, and the team provides table service. A drive-through gives customers another way to collect their food. Free parking sits on site for those arriving by car.

Customer Review Summary
Fast, hot food is what reviewers return to most, with self-service kiosks and quick collection during a busy lunchtime cited as examples. Diners name the spicy chicken nuggets, crispy golden fries, burgers and a McFlurry brought to the table, and a couple praise the coffee and the table service. Several mention plenty of free parking and a location close to the motorway. Seating draws the most complaints. One reviewer says there are not enough tables and the place feels compact, with a long wait for food. Another found the interior baking hot with no air con, and a third found the only seating on a sunny day was in a cold, shaded area. The grilled chicken salad was described as mostly lettuce with a fork too weak to use. One drive-through order arrived with Big Macs instead of the burgers requested, three mini egg frappes instead of four, and stone cold chips.

“Very nice place always clean hard to get a table cause there’s not enough seating. You have to wait up to 20 minutes just to get your food and it just feels compact.”

“Popped in for a bit to eat as you do. Was clean as a few members of staff cleaning rapidly as soon as someone has left when finished eating. Needed air con or a door open at the time as was baking hot. Otherwise was ok”

“Had a really good experience at McDonald's 🍟 Food was lovely and served hot, which is always a bonus. The restaurant was well located with good parking available, making it really convenient. The self-service kiosks make everything so much easier and quicker, and overall service was fast. We didn’t have to wait long at all for our order. Simple, smooth experience from start to finish and exactly what you want from a quick stop. 👍”

“Busy but tables available inside and outside at 7pm on a Friday of a bank holiday weekend. Table service was great, and tables were being cleared frequently. The toilets were really clean, tops marks there! Only 2 minutes off the M40 motorway, makes a great stopping alternative to service stations.”

“One of perhaps if not the largest McDonald’s I’ve ever been to but do not let its size fool you into thinking that due to its size it is bad. I arrived for lunch and upon entry it was very busy but not something I was not used to as my local McDonald’s is normally quite busy around the same time as my arrival. I waited for around 3 minutes before my order was ready to collect which was a surprise as I thought due to the business I would be in for a wait but looks can be deceiving. I had the spicy chicken nuggets this time (Hot but not burn you mouth) and as with most McDonald’s I had it was very good. I would recommend this place with my only real issue was that it was a sunny day and the only seating area was in a shaded area which was a little cold.”
