About Crendon Indian Cuisine
Crendon Indian Cuisine is a family-owned Indian restaurant at 11 The Square in Aylesbury. Its set evening banquet brings a starter, main, side, naan, rice and coffee into one meal, which suits diners who want a full spread without choosing dish by dish. A buffet offers a selection of main curries, so guests can sample several sauces in one sitting. Biriyani sits on the menu for those who prefer a rice-based main, and mango ice cream is there to finish. The restaurant runs as a family business, and the team looks after the dining room.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the food, and several are longtime regulars of nearly 20 to 30 years who call it far better than similar restaurants nearby. One singles out the biriyani alongside a Lamb Balti sauce, Naga hot. The Tuesday night banquet earns repeated mentions for good value, and a Sunday buffet draws praise for its tasty selection and the mango ice cream. Family birthday diners describe everything as fresh and piping hot. Service is called friendly and warm, and reviewers describe the restaurant as family owned and central to the village. Minor wishes appear too: Indian music for the atmosphere, a stronger decaf coffee, and one more main curry at the buffet. The most serious complaint comes from a long-time takeaway customer who says portions have shrunk, with containers holding mostly thick oil and sauce and a couple of vegetables. Another lunch visitor describes the chef and owner recommending dishes after hearing their preferences, and every suggestion turned out to be an excellent choice.

“Had a wonderful experience at Crendon Indian's Tuesday night banquet. Lovely food and excellent value for money at £18 for a starter, main, side, naan, rice, Kopi. Some minor points for improvement, I would have liked to hear some Indian music which would turn my Atmosphere 4 into a 5. The decaf coffee could have been a bit stronger.”

“We Dropped in for a lunchtime meal & we were received by Oli who was the Head Waiter - he was courteous & very friendly. We were introduced to the Chef/owner Shobuj who kindly recommended items on the menu after we expressed our preferences. The items from the menu that he recommended turned out to be excellent choices!😁 The quality of the food was excellent & the friendly chats with Oli rounded off an excellent meal! We left the restaurant feeling Thoroughly satisfied with smiles on our faces & look forward to returning very soon!! Highly recommended!! A Big thank you to you all! Kindest regards Ruth & Claudio”

“These guys are the heart of the village. It’s always a pleasure to eat in or take out. The food is far better than other similar restaurants around and the service is so friendly. Just a brilliantly run restaurant.”
