Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the set menu lunch, praising generous portions, with the roast beef at Sunday lunch called juicy and tender and one sharer said to feed more than two. Close behind is the warm, attentive service, which several describe as welcoming without being intrusive. Others single out the chicken burger with its spice kick and huge onion ring, the deep fried vegetables with teriyaki sauce and sweet hot honey, scampi as a starter, a blue steak with garlic sauce, and a frozen strawberry daiquiri made quickly at the bar. A saxophonist playing during Sunday lunch gets a mention, and the choice of wines is praised. The one complaint is about noise, with a diner noting dinner can get quite busy and loud and preferring the calmer lunchtime. Another was disappointed that the halloumi poke bowl left the set menu shortly before their visit. Birthday visitors repeatedly describe a card waiting on the table.

“My first time here and had a really lovely lunch. The roast beef was so juicy and tender and such large portions for money! One sharer could definitely feed more than 2. A great selection of wines. Service was really good and efficient we were served by Lucio, he was very efficient and professional, but the right balance of friendly & chatty too. Overall, a really lovely experience, I will definitely be returning!”

“We visited Stubbs for my son's birthday, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. When we arrived, there was a birthday card waiting for him on the table, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was amazing, and the waiting staff really knew their menu and were happy to answer any questions. They were all very polite, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. The restaurant itself had a lovely atmosphere—busy but not too loud, making it just right for a special occasion. There was plenty of seating both inside and outside. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend Stubbs. We'll certainly be back!”

The food was unreal, the staff were so friendly and genuinely couldn’t do enough for us, and the whole place has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s honestly the nicest restaurant we’ve been to in a long while. We’ll definitely be going back with family and friends. Every single staff member should be proud — they were all so lovely.”
