About La Fortuna Restaurant and Pizzeria
La Fortuna Restaurant and Pizzeria is an Italian restaurant at 95A High St in Annan, run as a small dining room that serves dinner. The menu pairs pizza, including a three-cheese pizza, with pasta dishes such as spaghetti carbonara, spaghetti bolognaise and a seafood pasta. An early bird 3-course menu gives diners a set meal in the early part of the evening. For dessert, the kitchen turns out a tiramisu pizza, which brings the classic tiramisu flavours into the pizzeria format and gives pizza lovers a sweet course to finish on. Other desserts are on the menu as well.

Customer Review Summary
Pasta draws the most praise at this Annan Italian, with diners singling out the fresh seafood pasta, the spaghetti bolognaise and the pasta in general as delicious. Close behind are the prawn and squid tempura, called outstanding, and a sirloin described as cooked to perfection. One reviewer who came with a group describes a tiramisu pizza dessert as incredible, and another mentions an early bird three course menu with a good plate size for every course. Portions are repeatedly described as good or generous, and several reviewers call the prices very reasonable. Staff come up again and again as friendly, welcoming and attentive, and the small room is described as warm and chilled. The few criticisms are minor: one reviewer wished for some background Italian music, and another notes the restaurant only opens in the evening most days. One group saw a single member of staff handling serving, drinks, orders and clearing on their own, and still found the service fantastic. A walk-in party without a booking was found a table.

“Amazing Italian restaurant! If you’re passing through or staying in Annan, it’s a must go to. The pasta was delicious and great service too!”

“We visited last night as a group of 9. The restaurant is small but beautiful with a lovely chilled atmosphere. The service was fantastic, found out later he was the manager and he was basically doing everything himself, serving, making drinks, taking orders, cleaning away etc. The food was perfect, so tasty and not too over complicated. We tried the managers new dessert which was tiramisu pizza….you have to go and try it! It was incredible!”

“La Fortuna Restaurant and Pizzeria is a fantastic place to enjoy delicious Italian food in a cosy and welcoming setting. The menu offers an excellent selection of freshly prepared pizzas, pasta, seafood and traditional Italian favourites. The spaghetti carbonara, mushroom risotto and three-cheese pizza sound particularly tempting, while the desserts provide a lovely finish to the meal. The portions are generous, the flavours are rich and satisfying, and the friendly atmosphere makes the experience even better. A wonderful choice for an enjoyable Italian meal in Annan.”

“First visit and definitely be going again. Lovely place, with welcoming staff. Menu is typically Italian. I had the prawn and squid tempura which was outstanding then the spaghetti bolognaise. Happy to recommend.”

“It's all been said already. Lovely little restaurant with friendly staff and really good quality food. Added bonus that they, when it can accommodated, takeaway orders. Keep up the good work!!! 👍”
