Quick info
About The Fox Inn
A Thai kitchen operates inside The Fox Inn, a cask-ale country pub on Hungerford Ln in Andover, where wood beams and a fireplace frame the dining space and a bar area serves beer, wine and spirits. The menu runs to around 18 dishes, opening with Prawn Crackers With Sweet Chilli Dip and Sesame Toast before Thai Style Crispy Beef, and the kitchen will adjust dishes to how you want them. Satay chicken, drunken noodles and calamari sit alongside a selection of starters. Tables can be booked in advance, including for groups of eight to fifteen, with booking updates sent by text through Dojo. Dogs are welcome, and a private dining room handles larger parties away from the main room. The pub opens daily, and a Travelling Thai ordering service runs from the same kitchen.

Customer Review Summary
The pull is traditional Thai food served inside an old English country pub, and diners return for dishes they name directly: drunken noodles described as incredible and full of flavour, fresh satay chicken shared as a starter, and calamari singled out as brilliant. Several mention that dishes can be customised exactly how they want them, and that service is quick. Groups feature heavily, with parties of eight and fifteen noting how smoothly the booking and pre event communication were handled, including text updates. Others describe the room as warm and inviting, one recalling being moved to a table by the fireplace at lunch. The clearest complaint comes from a takeaway order through the pub's Travelling Thai offshoot: over an hour's wait alongside many others with no apology or explanation, the wrong meal delivered, a single meat serving despite paying for all the meats, and cold squid, though that reviewer still called the food itself awesome and normally very good. Several say they would recommend it and will be back.

“Ordered from the "Travelling Thai" powered by the fox, on Thursday, took over an hour to get my food along with many others waiting (no apology or reason given ), eventually given the wrong meal, I paid for all the meats but got a single meat serving, although must say it tasted awesome. The squid was cold so not so good. Shame as normally very good.”

“Booked a table for 15 guests on Sunday the 11th for a trio of January birthdays. I must say, the communication and service even prior to the event was really well handled. The text updates via Dojo made it all really efficient and smooth. …”

“I stumbled upon this place by accident. And I regret it happened so late. Great food, courteous service (I'm very particular about that), and a cozy decor. …”
