About Mr H Tearoom

Mr H Tearoom is a tea house on Lake Rd in Ambleside, with a menu of about 50 dishes. Salads and sandwiches make up much of it, including a Goat's Cheese Salad and the Cumbrian Baked Ham, and the kitchen also serves homemade sandwiches and a soup of the day. Sticky toffee pudding is on the dessert side. The tea room also runs a shop that sells its own-brand hand wash, hand cream and diffusers, which gives visitors something to take home beyond the table.

“We had such a lovely time at Mr H Tearoom. The sticky toffee pudding is honestly the best we’ve had. It was super rich and indulgent, absolutely worth the visit on its own. The rocky road and crumpet were both really good too, although the crumpet was a bit too hard and crumbled apart when we cut through it. But beyond the food, the vibe was great and staffs were super friendly. Overall pleasant experience.”
