  “I had a really bad experience at Pizza Express Abingdon this evening. I went there about 7 pm with my grandchildren 4 and 7 . I had ordered Uber from them and it didn’t arrive . The front office lady asked if we had a booking and I said no, she then very rudely waved her arms and said we are full there is no room . I explained I had ordered and the food hadn’t arrive and she very rudely said that’s not our fault and again rudely told us there was not room and to leave. My grandchildren were surprised and anxious by her rude attitude . It was sad . She could have politely turned us away without any arm waving drama and rudeness and could have been more sympathetic that our delivery hadn’t arrived . A little thought-fullness, kindness and empathy would have helped especially when there are small children. There were many empty tables at that time but perhaps they were booked . It’s really disappointing and a sad experience for my little grandchildren .”

  “We came for a school visit on Tuesday morning. Kida and Mario were both AMAZING!!! They were so welcoming and friendly and couldn’t have been any more helpful. Mario was amazing at explaining everything to my class and modelling how to make a pizza. The whole experience was totally brilliant - we all loved it! Kida and Mario were both very careful to meet the needs of one child with a dairy allergy. It was such a wonderful school trip - I cannot heap enough praise on Kida and Mario and will definitely be returning next year for our fourth visit!!! A million thanks for providing my class with such a super experience!”

  “We’ve been to PizzaExpress a few times now, and Kida and Poppy have looked after us on more than one occasion. They are always fantastic, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming every time we visit. Their service consistently makes the experience enjoyable, and they always go above and beyond to make us feel well looked after. Great food, great atmosphere, and excellent customer service thanks to them both. Highly recommend!”

  “Visited restaurant last week with my girlfriend. At the main entrance we were met by General Manager (Aga), she was very helpful and polite to us. We never been to pizza express before so it was very nice to get a good impression before we even had a food. Then we got served by the one of the workers (Adam) also very knowledgeable and experienced guy. Definitely will visit again.”

  “Aja and her team are absolutely amazing. They are so kind and welcoming. My son has allergies and the attention and care they take into catering for his needs is excellent. The chefs are also so carefull and helpful. Both service and food is always great.”

  “I was left disappointed with the long wait of the food. Ordered a starter (meatballs al forno) resulted in receiving them 1h later. My friends ordered 2 pizzas which were also brought 1h later. There was a family that arrived way later than us and got served before us, and bare in mind we ordered our food before them walking in, by the time they finished eating their pizzas we were still waiting for our food. I would understand if the restaurant was packed but it wasn’t, 5pm on a Thursday (literally empty). It would’ve been nice if they apologised for the delay but nothing. Overall it was ok, the waitress was nice but the long wait made the experience downgrading, I can say I received food way faster in more busier restaurants than this.”

  “Visited on Wednesday night and had a fantastic experience. The pizza was absolutely superb perfectly cooked with fresh, delicious toppings. You can really tell care goes into the food here. A special mention to our waiter, Adam, who was excellent throughout the evening. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect for us without being overbearing. Service like that really makes a difference to the whole experience. Great food, great atmosphere, and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be coming back!”

  “We visited recently for a mid-week meal and had a lovely evening. We were served promptly by Aga and also Adam and they were both very friendly and chatty. I'm newly vegetarian and tried the Padana pizza which was really tasty.”

  “Excellent. Made to feel welcome by a lady called Shauna on Saturday 12th April lunchtime. She was brilliant throughout our meal and was very friendly , and attentive. She informed us she was new so was still learning and we thought she was excellent at her job and the duty manager was also super ( we didn’t catch his name) but he was friendly and was so calm and clear when training Shauna. Food was very fresh and delicious and the drinks were nice too. Atmosphere in the restaurant was a lovely chilled vibe with people looking so relaxed and happy. Thank you all. The celebration doughballs are absolutely delicious!”
